Job Description
Seeking a Webmaster who will facilitate the planning, construction, development and maintenance stages of web design. The ideal candidate will select and provide guidance for our Web Development Team throughout the pre-production, production, publication, and post-publication phases.
Pre-production
Brainstorm the approach
Gather and generate content
Construct the site map
Develop and approve an interface
Determine technological needs
Production
Develop and refine content
Get graphics production underway
Produce HTML and scripts
Deploy database and server-side programming
Organize server administration and hosting
Publication
Aggressively test site for cross-platform, cross-browser compatibility
Review code for consistency and functionality
Check all links
Review site for spelling and grammar concerns
Upload site to the live server where it will reside
Post-Publication
Perform routine maintenance
Add regular updates and additional content to the site as needed
Promote site to the public (or within the organization in the case of intranet development)
Discuss future expansions and redesigns
Technical Skills
1. 5 years of work experience managing a Web Site, with Ecommerce, on a day-to-day basis.
2. Solid organizational skills
3. Hands-on technical experience with PHP/HTML/JavaScript/DHTML, XML Coding, CSS, MySQL, and Advanced Web Coding techniques are required.
4. Advanced capabilities in using Common Web Products such as, but not limited to, Adobe Dreamweaver and Flash is required.
5. Understanding of DNS Entries and Common Hosting Management
6. Experienced with CRM Systems is required.
7. Manage WEB SERVERS (download servers, FTP sites, Websites, hosted applications).
Marketing Skills
1. Knowledge, understanding and experience with SEO (Search Engine Optimization), PPC (Pay Per Click) and Online Marketing Techniques
2. Develop and implement changes to the Website to enhance Search Engine Optimization.
3. Understanding and knowledge of all aspects of our PPC campaigns across all search engines (Google AdWords, Yahoo Overture, MSN Ad center and others, as appropriate).
4. Analyze clicks and conversion data, ad expenses and prepare reports based on this information
5. Conduct in-depth keyword and audience research .
6. Make other modifications to the website as requested including landing pages, copy changes, navigation changes and other enhancements are requested
7. Proficiency in the use of Products and Technologies listed in responsibilities (e.g., Hosted CRM, Web Servers, Web Services, Web Applications, E-mail Infrastructure, Core IT infrastructure, etc.).
Internal/External Skills
1. Interface with internal users (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Business Development) to ensure computing and application productivity, including the identification and implementation of productivity applications (collaboration, Wiki, etc.).
2. Manage IT contractor and service provider relationships (e.g., Website development, application consulting, hosted CRM consultants, etc.).
3. Assist with IT infrastructure maintenance (procurement, configuration, user support PCs, storage, security, networking, email service, etc.).
