During the lead up to the Olympic and Paralympic Games VANOC is responsible for creating and maintaining websites for several Sporting Events and Venues. As the Webmaster for these websites you will be responsible for all aspects of the development lifecycle. Specific responsibilities include project management, requirements definition, interface design, platform selection, software programming, hosting, user training, change management, statistic, and search engine optimization. This is an evolving position and responsibilities may shift over time. Titles may be adjusted from time to time to accurately reflect responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
* Meet with stakeholders to define business and functional website requirements
* Select Content Management platform and standardized implementation approach
* Configure website consistent with content structure, navigation, and interface design requirements
* Provide CMS training to content contributors
* Coordinate content development and official launch of websites
* Perform day-by-day site maintenance
* Manage multiple competing projects to high quality project outcomes that exceed stakeholder expectations
* Other related duties as required
Job Requirements
Education/Experience:
* Diploma or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institute in a related field or combination of equivalent education and experience
* 4+ years experience designing and implementing websites
* 2+ years experience managing Internet websites for a company or non-profit organization
* 2+ years experience implementing websites using CMS / Portal platforms
* Experience in web graphic design
* Experience in content editing
Certificates, Designations, Languages:
* Fluency in English required
* Fluency in French an asset
