Primary Purpose

The purpose of the Web Programmer position is to build and support our production and application development environments. This individual will be working with marketing manager to help increase reliability and efficiency by database tuning and optimizing queries. Ideally the individual will have experience in PHP, SQL Server, SEO (Search Engine Optimization, WebSite Rankings) and MySQL, with an emphasis on MySQL. Specific Responsibilities

The Web Programmer will at various times be responsible for:
- Web Designing (HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, Flash), Web Programming (ASP, PHP, SQL Server 2000, MySQL), SEO (Search Engine Optimization, WebSite Rankings)
- Support of MySQL databases in both Windows and Unix environments, as well as MS SQL databases in a Windows environment
- Participate in large scale projects with long lead times
- Must be comfortable making decisions or recommendations on resolutions in critical down time situations. Know when to escalate to and include others before spinning their wheels excessively
- Database software support - Evaluation, installation, modification and implementation.
- Perform data migrations - provide support to move the databases through various development stages and platforms
- Disaster recovery of MySQL and MSSQL databases; must be able to develop and monitor backup and recovery processes.
- Perform database maintenance - ensure database integrity, reorganize the data, implement structural changes
- Working knowledge of both UNIX and windows operating systems is required

Team work in both the Systems Services and Business Application groups
- Off hours duty pager rotation
- Other related duties as assigned to support the business objectives and purpose of EMINATA Group.

Position Requirements

Competencies:

Education and Experience:
- 3 or more years Web development experience
- Proficiency in OOP in PHP
- Integrate JavaScript (including AJAX) and CSS
- SEO (Search Engine Optimization, WebSite Rankings) experience
- Advanced MySQL Administration and PHP/Apache Configuration
- Experience customizing and extending open-source technologies
- Hands-on experience with: PHP, XML, XHTML, CSS, and DHTML
- Database development and maintenance experience
