We are a Vancouver-based web startup in need of a full-time web marketer whose ultimate objective will be to attract more traffic to our site and increase conversion rates by creating compelling, attractive, and informative web pages.

This is the perfect role for someone who is creative, resourceful, and perhaps even competitive. You like to get things done quickly, simply, and with a high degree of quality. And if you must, you’re not afraid to experiment and try new tactics for achieving greater results. You know how to wow people and give them what they want - quickly.

You are passionate about learning about consumers and influencing their behaviour. You are excited about the far-reaching and rapidly evolving landscape of Internet marketing. You have an established portfolio of web-based work showcasing your marketing skills.

On a technical side, you should be well versed in modern markup and design techniques. You understand the importance of markup validity and keep style and content separate. You have experience dealing with and resolving cross browser CSS issues (*though this is a bit easier at noomii since we’ve dropped support for IE6).

Although we are looking for technical proficiency, you see the technical aspects of HTML/CSS and design as a means to conveying your message.

Required marketing skills and experience:
- Familiar with Google Analytics
- Understand the foundations of SEO
- Ability to write succinct and compelling web copy
- Experience selling a product or service online
- Experience creating customer profiles

Required technical skills and experience:
- Have ‘owned’ the CSS on an interactive website
- Understand everything comes down to user experience
- Paper prototyping
- HTML and advanced CSS layout / design
- Photoshop or Illustrator
- Javascript familiarity (ideally jQuery)
- An eye for simplicity and elegance

Nice to have:
- Video production and editing

About the Opening:
This position is being offered as a short-term, internship contract and if you prove to be the the right fit, we want to hire you full-time with additional benefits and potential stock options. This position is partly funded by the government through its youth development strategy and as a result, you must:
- be a recent grad (within the last two years)
- have a relevant degree or diploma
- be 30 years old or younger

You will work in our Vancouver office. Telecommuting is not an option. Do not contact us if you do not live in (or are not willing to relocate to) the Vancouver area.
