The Web Analytics Specialist is responsible for collecting, developing and analyzing web traffic reports on the external websites. They will be responsible for identifying opportunities within the web traffic reports to improve information architecture and web content. You will convert web analytics and customer experience research into actionable recommendations for the development of future initiatives and marketing campaigns. You will also support the external team by updating content on the external sites, troubleshooting issues, and provide quality assurance support.

As a member of the Direct Services team, the Web Analytics Specialist must be able to work on multiple projects and tasks and work to tight deadlines, and have the ability to adapt and be flexible in a changing environment.

The successful applicant needs to have a minimum 2 years experience analysing web site traffic and preparing reports to improve site performance and web content. UBC Award of Achievement in Web Analytics, a Bachelor’s Degree or a diploma requiring 3 to 4 years of full-time study with formal education focused on business, communications, Intranet/Internet studies and web mastering. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

The incumbent must have:
* Advanced knowledge of web analytics software ideally HBX Visual Sciences (Report Builder an asset)
* Working knowledge of search engine optimization, search engine marketing and pay-per-click campaigns
* Experience with content management tools (Interwoven TeamSite an asset)
* Must have familiar level of skill & knowledge in technology infrastructure
* Knowledge in HTML and simple JavaScript programming
* Thorough knowledge of Microsoft business software. (Word, Excel, Outlook)

The incumbent must be able to communicate ideas and gather information through both written and communication skills and be able to challenge and influence others. He/she must have strong social skills, be customer focused, highly organized with an attention to detail, responsive and a team player.
Basic knowledge of financial services and banking systems is an asset.
