About the Company
We are a small but growing Web design and Internet marketing firm in Burnaby. As a result of our growth, we are looking for 2 Business Development Associates to join our strong core team of 15.
Position Overview
The Business Development Associate will be responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through close in an assigned territory.
We are looking for the type of person who is enthusiastic and fearless about selling to new customers. You have a competitive streak and take pride in being part of a winning team that is fanatical about creating great customer experiences and business results. If you are highly motivated with a track record of goal achievement, we’d like to meet you.
Core Responsibilities
* Meet or exceed annual/monthly sales targets
* Maintain a sales pipeline of 2-4x sales targets
* Develop a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling on business owners, direct mail, email, and networking
* Develop relationships with new customers through telephone appointment booking
* Create qualified opportunities to bid on Web Design, Social Media, SEO, and PPC management work through client meetings
* Sell consultatively and make recommendations to prospects and clients on the various solutions the company offers to their business issues.
* Create and conduct effective proposal presentations and RFP responses that identify prospects’ business problems, the effects of the problems, and our firm’s solutions to their problems.
* Close qualified opportunities in a timely fashion
* Maximizes all opportunities in the process of closing a sale resulting in the taking of market share from larger competitors.
* Manage customer expectations so that they are both reasonable and achievable
Secondary Responsibilities
* Organize time and travel schedule effectively to achieve goals
* Assist with customer issues management and any necessary service recovery activities
* Keep accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within assigned territory, regardless of outcome.
* Participate and contribute to the development of educational programs offered to clients, prospects and company employees.
* Assist in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed.
* Perform other duties as required
Job Requirements
* 2-5 years experience in sales
* Highly self-motivated individual capable of working with both technical and non-technical team members
* Proven ability to achieve sales quotas
Asset Skills & Abilities
* Business logic and proposal writing skills
* Presentation skills
* Product knowledge in Web design, Internet Marketing, SEO, Social Media, and PPC Management
Benefits
* A target salary range of $45,000 - $75,000 (base of $36,000 + commissions)
