Pacific Programming and Tech; responsible for online marketing; is looking for a Front End Web/Software Developer to join our growing software team in Vancouver, Canada.
Communication ability and business sense is an absolute must as you will be interacting heavily with business units in multiple sites and countries (common language is English).

Your role will consist of:
* Developing innovative, user-centric, web based interfaces for our array of online products
* Enhancing the user experience through rich interface development
* Working with the database and applications development groups to further enhance customer experience
* Translating comps and wire-frames into flexible and usable code templates
* Implementing both production fixes and enhancements in addition to designing next generation user interfaces for upcoming products
* Working closely with business analytics groups to optimize our websites for conversion and an excellent user experience

You’ll have the following skills and experience:
* 4+ years hands-on web development experience and senior-level knowledge of (X)HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, DHTML, and cross-browser compatibility issues are a must
* Experience building Web applications using AJAX & XML
* The ability to generate to efficient and elegant code
* Implementing both production fixes and enhancements in addition to designing next generation user interfaces for upcoming products
* Experience with integrating application level logic into a dynamic user interface
* In depth problem solving capabilities as well as the ability to identify tasks and provide time estimates

* Creative and autonomous with the maturity to see the value in the existing environment and work to improve it
* An obsession with application reliability as downtime directly impacts our bottom line

Education:
* Relevant post-secondary courses and certification are an asset
