POSITION SUMMARY
The successful applicant will be a well-rounded, technically competent web specialist who can participate in the execution of our SEO strategies in order to increase the visibility of our clients’ online resources.
DUTIES
- Develop and execute link building strategies including negotiating link acquisitions, blog post & article placement (guest blogging, sponsored posts, etc.), basic link development (directories, comments) and targeted link requests.
- Develop, monitor and report on key performance indicators, projections and performance analysis.
- Work across multiple areas in our organization in order to track, optimize and develop our clients’ SEO strategies.
- Act independently when new projects are started to ensure that search benefits are optimized.
- Review trends and web analytics to provide recommendations for areas of focus as they relate to SEO, then execute those recommendations.
- Work closely with our writers to ensure full search value is being realized through the content properties.
- Continual monitoring and execution of SEO efforts on all controlled websites to increase search traffic and visibility.
- Execute keyword research and report findings.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- 0-4 years’ experience with SEO with proven ability to develop strategy and achieve results.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, CMS (Wordpress) and an understanding of HTTP server headers.
- Strong knowledge of web analytics tools (Google Analytics primarily and/or Omniture Site Catalyst).
- Ability to communicate effectively with various groups such as web developers, marketing personnel, and business clients.
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment and deliver on multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
- Self-directed and a self-starter.
- Inquisitive and results focused approach.
ADDITIONAL ASSETS
- Up to date on trends in SEO.
- Experience with marketing automation software (Eloqua, Marketo, Sales Fusion, etc.).
- Experience with B2B or lead generation websites.
This is a fulltime, in office position with flexible hours.
