SEO Manager
* Drive organic search engine traffic by creating the strategic vision, development and execution of key SEO programs which deliver the highest ROI.
* Work with outside agencies or in-house staff to develop and create “killer” content programs including viral widgets, video, awards and other content designed to attract the attention of bloggers, social media and industry-related sites.
* Perform ongoing detailed keyword research for existing content areas and new product releases.
* Develop technical strategies to optimize our websites for search engine crawlability and indexation to maximize the potential of our award-wining content.
* Identify and spec out projects that will improve our on page ranking factors utilizing current and future best-practices. Prioritize the top projects and work with web development, design and editorial to execute.
* Develop best SEO best practice documentation to educate, train and certify the various cross functionally groups which are required for SEO success, including editorial, design, production, development, public relations and product marketing managers.
* Be an agent of change within the company. Infuse SEO into the DNA of Salesforce. Be an evangelist on the benefits of SEO, and ensure that Salesforce.com is the online leader for SEO best practice, implementation and outcomes.
Required Skills/Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Advertising, or related field.
* 5+ years hands-on experience managing search engine optimization (SEO) programs for large scale International sites.
* Proven ability to develop and implement cutting-edge SEO strategies based on the most up-to-date SEO tactics, including link-building and on-page SEO factors.
* Detailed understanding of the current algorithm and ranking signals for Google, Yahoo and Bing.
* Experience optimizing large enterprise-class websites and working across large multifunctional departments (Editorial, Design, Producers, Product Mgmt, Product Mktg, PR, Engineering, etc.)
* Exceptional analytical skills and functional expertise with online analytics, measurement and reporting tools (experience with Omniture is an advantage).
* Experience either working in SEO agency managing multiple clients, or large in-house SEO department a must.
* Proven ability to deliver substantial boosts in organic search engine traffic and corresponding end revenue from SEO undertakings.
* Ability to drive programs and execute on a vision, together with strong interpersonal and reporting skills.
* Strong Excel/Powerpoint skills
Desired Skills:
* International website experience running European or Asian language SEO programs
* Experience with B2B or lead generation websites
* Experience with scrum methodology
* Omniture SiteCatalyst/Discover knowledge
