Senior Web Developer

Description lululemon athlectica is looking for a web developer to join a newly formed web development team. This is a great opportunity to grow with a young company that is quickly becoming a leader in the yoga and fitness community.

The Senior Web Developer will have experience coding dynamic web solutions from scratch. This person will be well versed in analyzing preexisting website functionality and implementing solutions to improve performance and site usability. They have a portfolio of work that showcases database publishing skills in Cold Fusion, PHP, ASP, .NET, or other dynamic server side programming languages that speak to SQL databases. Experience with an enterprise content management system and understanding of the separation of content and presentation is a must, as well as strong understanding of the Microsoft server platform (Windows Server 2003).

Key Areas of Responsibility:
* Work closely with creative developers to integrate new interfaces into your web solutions
* Lead the work effort to redevelop a high traffic website receiving over 1 million hits per day
* Analyze PHP code and convert to Cold Fusion
* Analyze current mySQL data model and assist with the upgrade to SQL server
* Redevelop existing site using XML to fit seamlessly into a CMS like Interwoven TeamSite
* Create polished and intelligent navigation systems
* Write code for PDAs, Blackberry browsers, and handheld systems
* Ensure cross browser compliance is present in all web applications (Safari, IE, Mozilla, etc.)
* Fine tune SEO for all websites
* Quality Assurance testing on all work

Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years of work experience
* Demonstrated proficiency in Cold Fusion, Perl, PHP, JavaScript MySQL, SQL Server, and Windows Server 2003
* Mastery of HTML and CSS
* Up to date with current web trends, technologies such as social networking, RSS, user generated content, podcasts and blogs
* Ability to work and lead a team to meet deadlines

The ideal candidate will also have knowledge in:
* Developing for an enterprise Content Management System like Interwoven TeamSite
* Video production for websites
* Training non-technical users to use web applications
* Willingness to work on the retail floor
