Senior Web Developer

lululemon athlectica is looking for a senior web developer with experience coding dynamic web solutions from scratch. The successful candidate will have amazing database publishing skills in PHP and mySQL, as well as other dynamic service side programming languages that speak to SQL databases. The successful candidate will also be well versed in analyzing pre-existing website functionality and implementing solutions to improve performance and site usability. This position offers a great opportunity for the successful candidate to showcase their skills and experience in an environment that fosters personal development, humour, health and fitness, and community involvement.

Other key responsibilities include:
* Analyze requirement document and wireframes
* Analyze current mySQL data model and assist with the upgrade to SQL server
* Work closely with creative developers to integrate new interfaces into web solutions
* Lead the work effort to redevelop a high-traffic website that receives over 1 million hits per day
* Analyze PHP code and convert to Cold Fusion
* Redevelop existing site using XML to fit seamlessly into a CMS, like Interwoven TeamSite
* Create polished and intelligent navigation systems
* Write code for PDAs, Blackberry browsers, and handheld systems
* Ensure cross-browser compliance is present in all web applications (Safari, IE, Mozilla, etc.)
* Fine tune SEO for all websites
* Provide leadership and mentoring to junior web team members
* Quality assurance testing on all work

Competencies (knowledge, skills & abilities) and Qualifications:
* Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
* Minimum 5 years of work experience
* Demonstrated proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, mySQL, SQL Server, and Windows Server 2003
* Mastery of HTML and CSS
* Up-to-date with current web trends, technologies such as social networking, RSS, user-generated content, podcasts and blogs
* Knowledge in developing an enterprise Content Management System like Interwoven TeamSite
* Knowledge in video production for websites
* Experience in training non-technical users to use web applications
* Ability to work and lead a team to meet deadlines
* Ability to work on the retail floor
