Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist

Pivotal Partners is a privately held corporation. We are one of the one of the top five mail order pharmacies in Canada. We are looking for a SEO Specialist to work in our fun-loving Marketing Department. Working as the specialist in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) you will be responsible for developing and executing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategic plan.

Job duties and responsibilities:
* Research, test and analyze keywords, title and description copy for optimizing search engines.
* Creation/Modification of content for each page.
* Find and define technological deficiencies and recommend best practice solutions.
* Find solutions to increase free traffic to the site through optimization of Web site pages.
* Ongoing SEO research and development.
* Monitor and report on activities completed each day/week.
* Perform competitive analysis to stay one step ahead of the competition.
* Keep abreast of industry developments and research and participate in the SEO community online.
* Define and describe optimal website navigational structure for usability, indexation, and ranking improvement.
* Assist Marketing Department in development and management of various web/e-mail based marketing.
* Achieve targeted Marketing goals.
* Run, process, and analysis progress reports.

Requirements:

- University degree in Marketing, Web Design/ Development, IT or other related field.
- 2+ years of SEO experience.
- A complete understanding of search engine trends and search engine algorithms.
- Understanding of the principles of SEO best practices.
- Keyword research, Link analysis and Page level optimization techniques.
- Experience in web content management tools.
- Advanced HTML, JavaScript, CSS and Web Design experience.
- Experience in writing search engine friendly copy.
- Knowledge of site architecture and website usability.
- Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.

Skills:
* Must be able to work and communicate effectively in a cross-functional product development teams and present ideas effectively.
* Must be self-motivated to prioritize and manage work load, and meet critical project milestones and deadlines.
* Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet scheduled due dates.
* Strong organizational skills.
