Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Social Media Coordinator

Cymax Stores is looking for an SEO and Social Media Coordinator to execute the day-to-day activities of its SEO and Social Media Program. An entry-level position, the SEO and Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for analyzing and directing changes to our web sites so they are optimized for search engines. In addition to identifying keywords for SEO implementation, the SEO and Social Media Coordinator will research and identify opportunities for link building and article marketing on non-Cymax web sites, as well as perform administrative functions related to our social media programs.

Responsibilities
* Review SEO blogging and article content to include strategic key phrase placement within compelling copy that maximizes opportunities for indexing, ranking, click-through and conversion.
* Advise writers and bloggers on developing original content while including necessary keywords, title and descriptions to improve the performance of the site.
* Develop and implement link-building strategies.
* Identify blogs, article sites and other opportunities (e.g. Squidoo) for Cymax to develop guest posts, how-tos and guides to assist in audience development and link building.
* Become the SEO go-to person for all Cymax staff.
* Maintain all administrative functions for social media initiatives, including managing usernames, RSS feeds, and scheduling tweets, posting updates, and maintaining Twitter followers.
* Generate reporting on the performance of our social media initiatives.

Job Requirements
* 1-3 Years of web experience.
* Passion for learning about SEO and study of the latest SEO best practices.
* Social media fanatic. Previous experience using social media for business and marketing purposes a definite asset.
* Excellent writing, spelling and grammar, including strong command of English language (both in Canadian and US style), with understanding of advertising and marketing language.
* Experience in Wordpress, MS Office, Twitter, Hootsuite, and Facebook for marketing purposes.
* Basic knowledge of: HTML, CSS, and other common programming languages is required.
* Analytical thinker. Solutions driven. Problem solver.
* Quick learner. Self-motivated and able to multi-task on multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
* Works well under pressure and deadlines.
* Prior SEO or SEM experience very desired.
