Nettwerk Music Group of companies includes artist management, record label, and publishing. With offices in Los Angeles, Vancouver, New York, Boston, Nashville and London we represent artists such as Sarah McLachlan, Avril Lavigne, Dido, Barenaked Ladies and others.
Nettwerk Music Group is currently seeking to fill two open positions of Product Manager, one in Los Angeles and one in Vancouver. These positions include all aspects of marketing, from the creation of the artist’s packaging on through to the final success of the album. Managing a team of individuals within the departments of New Media and Publicity, and working in tandem with art, radio and sales departments. These positions report directly to the President of Nettwerk Music Group.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Leadership
* Manage a team of people covering areas of press, radio, sales, online marketers, art designers and web developers
* Develop and maintain project documents including timelines as they related to the individual departments within the them, and the overall needs of the project
* Coordinate with internal team members to ensure that deliverables are understood and that deadlines are met on time and with consistency and accuracy.
* Understanding of new media marketing, tour marketing, consumer advertising, art timelines and design
Marketing:
* Devise and execute marketing plans for new release and catalog titles
* Traditional Marketing
- Planning and detail, encompassing new media, consumer print, tour support,
direct-to-fan, etc.
- Presentations of next step options based on results of Phase 1.
* Non-traditional
- Lifestyle partnerships based on relevant demographics
* Sponsorships
- Partnerships with relevant 3rd party companies for the purpose of visibility and tour funding.
*New Media
: - Planning and executing (with internet marketing team members) online campaigns.
* Artist Sponsorship, endorsements, and associative branding
* Devising multi-facetted marketing & promotional campaigns for artists, which will go beyond “traditional” marketing
* Devising tangible assets (re: print, brick and mortar, live event, hard tool promotions)
* Devising New Media assets (re: advertising campaigns, online listening events, etc.)
Budgets:
* Create project budgets based on contractual requirements, packaging costs and marketing tools (both oline and tangible)
* Project marketing plan spend for initial release (including radio, publicity, new media, tour, sales, etc.)
* Future spends based on the level of success of the initial phase of the plan (including radio, publicity, new media, tour, sales, etc.)
* Present monthly update on current state of P&L of active releases
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:
* Team leadership abilities
* Proven organizational skills and attention to detail
* Strong understanding of budgeting and projections analysis
* Understanding of Search Engine Optimization best practices as well as design principles and creative processes
* Comfortable with web analytics and an interest in learning more
* Experience managing resources, budgets and project timing
* Positive/enthusiastic attitude
* Strong business writing skills
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Interest in & working knowledge of the music industry
* Knowledge of Mac computers
* High Proficiency in Filemaker Pro, Word, Excel, Photoshop Applications
