Merchant Support Manager - Victoria, BC (JF-GDO)

Overview:
Or client was founded in 2007 and entered the growing e-commerce arena with an exciting new platform for both digital product merchants and affiliate marketers. Through their unique and trusted online platform they offer access to an incomparable match of highly productive affiliate marketers and top selling software and digital information products. They’re a young, strong and exciting e-marketing organization committed to fostering the growth of their merchants and affiliates. They pride themselves on a flat hierarchy that promotes open communication and a genuinely relaxed yet highly productive work environment.  They are looking for a Merchant Support Manager.  This position reports to the Director of Business Development.

Duties & Responsibilities:
* Assist with evaluating prospective merchants to ensure they are qualified to be listed on the network
* Work with accepted merchants to ensure their product data and marketing material is uploaded to the online catalogue
* Conduct quality assurance testing with newly uploaded products to ensure the offers are ready for processing transactions
* Work with the affiliate team to ensure new merchants and products are promoted and supported across the network
* Proactively work with existing merchants to optimize product offers and assist in maximizing online sales
* Track sales and refund trends by product and provide recommendations where necessary to grow revenue and minimize refunds
* Be familiar with a range of software verticals and online communities of relevance
* Maintain an intimate knowledge of industry and competitor developments to identify evolving trends
* Work with the other internal teams to provide support and value-added services for merchants
* Provide timely reports and updates on merchant status

Skills & Abilities:
* Self-starter with a strong desire to succeed at all tasks
* Ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal form
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Effective time management and task prioritization
* Customer service experience with a strong background in B2B relations
* Experience with various web-based and e-marketing techniques
* Familiarity with a variety of Microsoft and Mac applications

Other:
* Post-secondary education preferred
* Training in sales, customer service and / or e-marketing
* Experience working in a start-up high tech company
* Prefer a fast-paced, results orientated entrepreneurial environment
* Some US and International travel may be required
