Enterprise Marketing & Communications Manager - Maternity Contract

B2B Marketing Strategist to develop, manage and executing strategic marketing plans to deliver on 2009/2010 enterprise sales objectives for ActiveState’s Business Solutions for a 12 month maternity leave contract - commencing in June of 2009.

Responsibilities
* management of enterprise marketing budget and delivery of ROI reports
* execute marketing and communications strategy for quarterly lead generation campaigns
* development of 12 month (2010) marketing plan and budget, in consultation with product managers
* develop marketing collateral, sales tools, and campaigns that drive awareness of ActiveState’s Business Solutions aimed at Fortune 2000 and Fortune 500, Senior IT Directors, IT Mangers and System Architects.
* collaborate with the Developer Tools Sales & Marketing Manager to develop cross-promotion and upsell messaging and campaigns
* manage online and print advertising, including substantial Google AdWords program
* use analytics to drive improvements to search engine results pages (SERPs)
* manage content strategy and delivery, including email marketing, channel marketing and
* identify and research new lead generation prospecting tools
* gather market research intelligence to refine the marketing mix and deliver on customer expectations
* manage an in-house graphic designer
* manage vendor relationships and ongoing project contracts
* identify and manage media relationships and editorial opportunities
* work collaboratively with Developer Sales & Marketing Manager on Corporate Brand Strategy and Execution

Qualifications
* 6+ years experience in a B2B marketing role, preferably within a technology organization
* proven track record of implementing successful B2B lead generation campaigns
* hands-on experience with all major marketing disciplines (lead generation, advertising, pr/communications, direct response, events, collateral, databases, web/internet, research, leveraging available technology, program tracking/measurement)
* hands-on experience with all major marketing tools (CRM technology, email marketing systems, Google AdWords and PPC clients, website analytics, content management systems, etc)
* experience leading small teams
* exceptional written communications skills
* B2B sales process expertise and knowledge of open source software a bonus
