Post Publishers is looking for a part-time IT Support Representative to assist with our daily support requirements, network and small programming tasks. We produce 4 publications and offer graphic design, and website services to a well established client base. The company is composed of approximately 20 users and we also support our web-based products developed in-house. Our network is composed primarily of windows workstations and direct experience is an asset. The candidate will be working closely with the IT/Project Manager and must be motivated, organized, and able to follow instructions carefully.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about computer technology and must have some previous experience and a desire to learn. The position may be ideal for a student and advancement opportunities and flexible hours can be discussed at an interview. Approx 15 - 20 hrs/week.

Responsibilities:
- Assist company staff with technical issues and basic training as required
- Server, desktop, printer and network hardware and software support/maintenance
- Perform daily backup and recovery procedures, script writing, system imaging
- Provide customer support for email and web-based products over the phone
- Network administration including security, cabling, and internet connectivity
- Documentation of IT Department tasks and procedures
- Assist with technology planning through online research and testing
- Software testing of newly developed web-based products and services
- Hardware and software purchasing, research, & installation as directed
- Perform other IT-related duties and projects as required

Required Skills:
- Demonstrated knowledge of Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, Office 2003/07
- Ability to support a network of 20 users including network devices and printers
- Strong knowledge of common networking protocols
- Dedication to customer care/service and company user support
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi task and follow instructions
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Team Player with the ability to work under minimal supervision
- Self-motivated, hardworking, and quick learning

Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques and implementation
- HTML/CSS programming (attention to detail)
- Experience with ASP.Net, SQL Server 2005, Visual Studio 2005, ACT Premium Software
- Experience setting up a Virtual Private Network
- Basic MAC OS X Support

Qualifications:
- Diploma in Computer Information Systems or closely related field, or equivalent support experience
- 1 year in a technical support role with 20+ users
- Own transportation is required
- Fluent in English
