General Merchandising Manager for Vancouver 2010 Store - Elasticpath & VANOC - Vancouver (BC) Canada

Position Overview:
Elastic Path has a wide range of eCommerce customers, ranging from B2B to B2C, appliance retailers to redemption systems, and non-profit organizations to fashion retailers. There is no end to the variety of projects that you could be a part of!

The General Merchandising Manager will report to the CEO and work closely with the Online Store Coordinator and Customer Service team. The Official Vancouver 2010 Store will be the successful candidate’s responsibility can be found at vancouver2010.com/store

Principal Accountabilities:
* Manage all aspects of the online store, including marketing, fulfillment, purchasing, customer service, and development.
* Product assortment planning, purchasing, and working with VANOC licensees.
* Work with VANOC to capitalize on the overall merchandise marketing plan.
* Creation of an inventory plan for the ramp up from the present to the end of the Olympic Games in 2010.
* Manage and implement online marketing strategy; oversee the daily/weekly/monthly management of SEM campaigns.
* Track and analyze marketing efforts and website user behaviour and manage site changes to improve sales performance and customer experience.
* Work closely with the in house Design and Development teams to develop enhanced future website plans and initiatives, including functionality, user experience, and online brand positioning and advertising.
* Oversee affiliate program development, online brand awareness campaigns, and email marketing campaigns and promotions.
* Responsible for website revenue forecasting, reporting and financial modeling for online marketing programs.

Required Qualifications:
* BS/BA Degree required. Advertising, Marketing or related field preferred.
* 3-5 years direct experience in website management, online marketing and eCommerce and proven success implementing digital strategy for a successful eCommerce site.
* 3-5 years direct marketing experience (including database, acquisition, retention and loyalty)
* Proven knowledge of eCommerce marketing methodologies, including CPC, SEM, SEO, email marketing and direct response.
* Proven ability to deliver data-driven results, analysis, testing and application of findings.
* Strong aptitude for learning and adapting to the fast pace of current Web 2.0+ development and trends.
* Excellent analytic and communication skills.
* A passion for improving processes and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
* A passion for the Olympics a plus!
