Online tween magazine seeks full-time Associate Editor to join small, dedicated team in downtown Vancouver.

A Little About Us:
We are an online community whose target audience is nine to 14 year olds. We generate all our own content, publishing daily in each of our six major sections. We cover a range of topics from video game reviews to homework help - anything that might engage our audience.

Job Description:
The chosen candidate’s primary duties will be managing and writing for our entertainment section, as well as lending a hand in other sections when needed.

Duties:
* Write five to ten articles a week (articles range between 250 to 500 words)
* Proofread fellow writers work
* Generate story ideas
* Conduct interviews
* Optimize articles through latest SEO techniques
* Find and size all photos for own articles
* Brainstorm on sweepstakes, marketing campaigns and projects company is working on

Qualifications:
* BA or diploma in Journalism.
* Prior experience writing for a print or online publication (two samples).
* Must have a broad knowledge of entertainment and teen/tween.
* Able to write for other sections like Sports, Health and Body, Games and Toys when necessary.
* Proficient with Photoshop.
* HTML knowledge an asset.
* Previous online experience a plus!
* Team player - we are a small company and must all work together on a daily basis to get things done.
