Advertising Copywriter

Due to a new client relationship we are growing our media team with the following position: Advertising Copywriter

As an Advertising Copywriter you’ll work on a broad range of ad copy for print and online advertising. You’ll participate in every aspect of the creative process from concept to creation. Working with members of our design and marketing groups you will be an integral part of cultivating our client’s brand.

Description
-Leading an in-house team of talented writers while working with cross-functional teams and individuals to set and attain goals
-Generating advertising copy and sports-related stories as assigned, with a focus on immediacy
-Proofreading, editing, and writing a variety of advertising material while aspiring for seamless integration between the medium, environment and message
-Developing great ideas with your Art Director partner, while anticipating and planning for realistic client reactions and feedback
-Working with production, marketing, and development teams to develop compelling and timely content from concept to creation
-Writing in the best format for the media vehicle

Requirements
-Five+ year’s experience with related education (training or certification in a related field, such as advertising literature or creative writing is an asset)
-Well rounded writer with a particular focus on retail and direct mail advertising
-The ability to produce articles quickly and efficiently, with limited direction
-Strong copyediting and proofing skills
-Advertising copywriting experience (agency and direct mail experience a plus)
-Excellent online portfolio that includes result driven case studies
-A high level of attention to detail with the ability to learn new skills quickly while multi-tasking
-Experience writing with a focus on search engine optimization (SEO) is an asset
-An avid interest and outstanding knowledge in sports and gaming is an asset

Compensation is $35,000 - $50,000 , depending on experience
