The successful candidate will be working directly with our Marketing Manager. This role is perfect for an ambitious and creative team player to gain major experience with one of Canada’s top website agencies. This is a 3 days a week, 20-25 hours per week position for three months (opportunity for more hours based on experience) which will pay an honorarium of $750 for the three months worked. (That is $2.20 per hour!)

In addition to your own working responsibilities, you will also receive great professional development from the senior managers of our company. They will provide mentorship opportunities in areas such as SEO, Social Media, Networking, and Interactive Design.

Responsibilities:
* Contact prospective clients and provide product info/demos
* Writing for e-newsletters, website and blog to support marketing strategy

International contemporary artist, based in North Vancouver, seeks current college business student or recent graduate for eMarketing and social network development internship. This artist has a business background and needs a dependable person proficient in e-marketing who also likes to have fun. Able to create a high impact web site from template and knowledge of web design.

Start Date: November 2, 2010
Closing Date for applications: October 24, 2010

Duration: 6 weeks, commitment to 10 hours per week. Virtual work after initial face to face visit and strategy session. Weekly progress monitoring and interaction to ensure weekly objectives and targets are met.

Work Description:
The objective is to increase awareness of a contemporary art portfolio and increase online sales of limited edition prints and posters as well as driving more traffic to the artist’s web site for purchase of the original artwork, by creating and delivering an e-marketing program, by increasing distribution and leveraging existing contacts - over 1,000 in Facebook and on Fan page.

Duties: Formulate an eMarketing campaign and budget. Input contacts into a database and leverage over 1,000 names in FACEBOOK account and Fan page through your knowledge of SEO and media relations. Develop articles and Twitter campaign. Repurpose and rebuild artist’s web site. To generate local and international media attention.

Creative thinking, campaign design, and project planning is required, plus a willingness to do the grunt work like physical mailings. This internship is best suited to someone with interest in e-marketing.

Duties: The selected candidate will assist the administration staff by maintaining the agency’s websites, e-newsletter and computer systems.
They will also perform other computer related tasks such as:
-Producing marketing materials and participating in their distribution
-Leading youth volunteers in desk top publishing the youth newsletter
-Mentoring children, youth and seniors on computer skills
-Updating anti-virus programs, checking for and removing spyware,
-Troubleshooting computer problems for staff members
-Defragging hard disks, updating Windows components, downloading and installing Service Packs
-Assisting in the promotion of RYSA, the Youth Centre and its programs through community events and
