Established company requires temporary/contract consultant to analyze existing website. Website analysis through Google analytics and other sources using experience and expertise to determine and report on; functionality of site, areas requiring improvement, search engine optimization/referral and more.

The objective of this task will be to outline a recommendation on how we can increase the efficiency and use of our website, in addition to how we can increase our web traffic via referral and SEO to obtain and track sales leads.

Minor site content updates will also be required.

We are seeking an experienced Search Engine Optimization / Marketing expert to help train 3 web developers. Currently we have an intermediate understanding, and are looking for further in-depth knowledge to broaden our skills and abilities.

The ideal individual would have expert experience in all areas of SEO including the following:

* Thorough knowledge of SEO strategy, tactics and management
* Ability to demonstrate keyword research and how to develop effective short and long tail keyword strategies
* Experienced at website copy-writing for SEO
* Experience with link building
* Expert level in Google Adwords, Adsense and other Google Strategies
* Experience in PPC strategy and management
* Have utilized Google Analytics to track campaign performance

As we already have intermediate experience with the above, we want someone who can show us practical tools to use, answer our questions, and run through some examples with a website we have developed so we can broaden and fine-tune our abilities.

Our client, a global user community organization headquartered in Burnaby, BC is looking for a IT/Web Manager with 4+ years experience with web applications and technologies such as ASP.NET, VB.NET or C#, JavaScript, DotNetNuke framework and Microsoft SQL Server. The successful applicant will also support unique membership management and security needs, help implement and maintain the website as well as the technology infrastructure. Experience working with hosting providers for deploying websites is desired.

As the sole full-time IT/Web Manager, you would be part of a very dynamic team of individuals that manage the largest and most prominent global user community for SQL Server. Along with website management you will also be responsible for supporting the IT needs of the management team and will also lead the training initiatives to bring the team up to speed on how to use the new IT infrastructure. Responsibilities:
Website management including maintaining content and code
Website enhancements including additions of new areas to the site and redesigns of specific sections
Performing day-to-day site maintenance, setting company standards for design, performing navigation and browser compatibility, performing quality-control for third party content, and maintaining and develop small web applications.
IT systems management including analytics, mail server configuration and setup, some programming and QA of technical functionality
Monitoring online marketing campaigns including managing the tracking of inbound emails, traffic, call volumes and overall response rates to online marketing efforts, and recommending improvements
Studying site analytics to provide recommendations regarding the design and general usage of the site

Qualifications:
A minimum of 4 years of related overall web management experience

3+ years of thorough knowledge of browser compatibility issues for all platforms/major browsers is also a must
4+ years experience managing web servers
2+ years conversion of existing images (TIFF, BMP, PSD) for online use (JPG, GIF) using Adobe ImageReady and PhotoShop is a must

Communications and Marketing Consultant
BC Youth Week 2009

Youth Week is an international celebration of youth held annually during the first week of May. It is a week of fun, interaction and celebration intended to build a strong connection between young people and their communities. Youth Week profiles the issues, accomplishments and diversity of youth across the province. Wherever Youth Week is celebrated, the idea behind it is the same: Young people are important and need to be recognized in a constructive and positive manner!

Youth work practitioners from across Metro Vancouver have established some useful marketing tools that assist in the branding of Youth Week celebrations across the province. As a result, the critical pieces of this work have been consolidated into a contract requiring the services of a Communications and Marketing Consultant.

Nature and Scope of Work
This is a communications and marketing initiative geared towards the promotion of Youth Week 2009 primarily across Metro Vancouver and to other participating communities across he province. Administered through the Abbotsford Youth Commission, the consultant will design and implement a communications strategy in addition to the design and delivery of appropriate marketing tools.

Communication
- Develop and implement a communications strategy that enables a flow of information relevant to Youth Week 2009 for the public and BC Youth Week members.
- Gather relevant information for the promotion and communication of Youth Week 2009 activities from partner municipalities.
- Receives and responds to youth week inquiries
- Communicates with the media as required
- Issues press releases

Marketing
- Develop and implement a marketing strategy to promote Regional Youth Week activities.
- To attend and lead Youth Week 2009 kick off party.
- Create promotional media for Youth Week 2009 through TV media and major news source.
- Design artwork, as required, for use in all promotional materials.
- Design functional, time sensitive web content that serves as the main hub of information and promotion of Youth Week 2009 (bcyouthweek.com)
- To develop and maintain Youth Week 2009 website, other internet pages.
- Produce camera-ready artwork to committee for print materials and merchandising requirements.
- Investigate other new media formats to target the 13-18 yr demographic.

- This project is supervised by a Project Manager, under advisement from members of the Youth Week Regional group.
- Compiles a completed project report and recommendations for Youth Week 2009
- All work completed remains the property of the Regional Youth Week group.

Compensation and Hours of Work
This contract is compensated at an amount not greater than $2,750. The hours of work required and scheduling of hours, to complete the tasks listed above, will be set by both the consultant and employer. Preliminary work required for this project commences in January 2009 with completion May 31st, 2009.

Workstation
The consultant is expected to provide their own standard business workspace, (e-mail, workstation, phone, fax) computer and software to meet the design and communication needs of this project.

Job Responsibilities
The Lead Systems Architect will be responsible for maintenance and expansion of the linux server infrastructure which powers the NetGraviton Suite of SaaS products. Day-to-day activities include:

- Design and implementation of a infrastructure management solutions
- Improvements to the software stack which our products are built upon
- Management of a distributed database system
- Development of system maintenance tools and processes
- Design of processes for scaling the infrastructure
- Management of internal development systems, including build servers and source code management (SCM) systems
- Qualifications
- The candidate must have top-notch Linux system administration skills. Please note, only candidates with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering, or, a very substantial amount of related technical coursework and work experience in a related field will be considered.
