Content Strategist

Summary of Position:
We are looking for a sharp minded and adaptive Content Strategist (CS) who can develop & structure exceptional creative content for our internal projects and client engagements. The CS will be responsible for researching internal and external sources to generate ideas and guide the creative content approach of a project. Primary Responsibilities
* Develop strategic ideas and content to inspire, shape, and create memorable and directed online experiences
* Create, communicate and direct the content strategy for a project with a focus on branding, marketing, business goals and visitor needs
* Develop and maintain the online content inventory and information including url’s, keywords, page titles, etc.
* Develop and maintain a Facet Map that documents the categories, dimensions and values of content elements, their relationships and the rules for their display
* Act as and collaborate with Copywriters to ensure the content achieves business goals and supports the desired visitor experience
* Ensure content cohesion between different online platforms (Website, Social Media, etc.) and coordinate strategic continuity across all deliverables
* Continuously research new industry trends and identify best methods for implementing new concepts in order to achieve business objectives

Other Duties
* Participate in suggesting, evaluating, reviewing and executing the implementation of new technical solutions based on company’s business objectives
* Provide weekly written reports to immediate supervisor
* Other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
* 2+ years of experience as a member of a multidisciplinary Web design/development team
* Knowledge and background in business & marketing strategy with a demonstrable understanding of marketing, branding, audience analysis, and usability issues

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional with a minimum 5 years marketing experience to join our Marketing Department on a full-time basis. You will be responsible for the overall online business strategy to optimize Sequel’s online efforts. This will include overseeing web user experience, content, eCommerce, website development, email marketing & acquisition, online marketing campaigns & promotions and web analytics. The objective will be to integrate all online initiatives towards the end goal increasing product awareness & education, building consumer loyalty, and driving both online and retail sales.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for the direction of Sequel brand on the web and be accountable for the following:

Strategic
* Ensure online marketing and ecommerce efforts are effectively integrated with the overall brand, wholesale and retail efforts for the organization.
* Develop Strategic plan for new and existing products to grow traffic, sales, subscriptions, content, viral campaigns, social media etc…
* Work cross-functionally within marketing coordinating efforts with internal teams to achieve greater clarity around goals, implementation of campaigns and promotions, and measurements of success.
* Optimize online channel as a means of growing overall company sales (i.e. online and offline sales).
* Manage and build the online team.

Measurement

Website Development

Requirements
* Minimum 5+ years of experience in e-commerce and online marketing
