Description:
The Junior Marketing Coordinator works with the Marketing Manager to create, update and organize sales and marketing materials including newsletters, proposals and presentations, advertising, sales flyers, and other written and online materials; coordination of trade shows and seminars; occasional customer interaction regarding sensitive health issues.
This role requires excellent communication skills including strong English writing and editing skills, attention to detail, flexibility and team attitude, effective multitasking and work habits, and excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities:
*Ability to write, edit, and proofread several newsletters with consumer health content, with support from graphics department and senior management
* Organization, creation and updating of consistent sales and marketing materials based on processes for each brand
* Assistance for proposals in written and PowerPoint form, marketing collaterals, and sales letters
* Research and analysis of customer databases to identify opportunities and deficiencies; online research of competitors and sectors; able to transpose this data into meaningful information, statements, reports, work with Excel files, and create proposals
* Assist with planning and execution of trade shows
- Pay per click (PPC) and SEO

Qualifications:
* Minimum 2 years previous related experience
* Diploma or degree an asset but will consider additional relevant experience as equivalent
* Knowledge of marketing and sales; commitment to excellent customer service
* Strong English skills including writing, grammar, spelling, editing and proofreading skills and experience applying these skills for marketing materials, and attention to detail for all types of materials; second language an asset
* Supervision provided but the ability to work independently on projects based upon assigned tasks and plans is necessary; multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
* Able to accept responsibility and be accountable for time and results
* Communicate effectively and accurately to present company policies both internally and externally
* Personal habits include courtesy, promptness, flexibility, honesty, and positive attitude
* Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Access, Dreamweaver, graphics programs (Photoshop, Illustrator) or demonstrated creativity are assets. PPC and SEO are assets but can be taught.

Job Description
We are looking for an Internet Marketer to be responsible for driving traffic to our sites and converting visitors to leads.

You will be an expert in SEO and Conversion best practices - but also have a good eye for graphic design and the basic technical skills to put up a landing page, update content, do analytics etc.

Your background is likely technical - but your passion is marketing and design.

You will be working with a team of product developers and programmers in our fast-growing internet travel company, with an adventure flavor, based in downtown Vancouver.

Skills - Marketing & Design
o You should be expert on web conversion & SEO best practices
o We do have a template we work from so you will not be expected to design from scratch, but rather adapt the template to different landing pages and add creative graphic design elements - such as ads, offers etc - where necessary.
o You should be willing to take direction and not be a design prima donna!
o The overriding need is for our websites to draw in traffic and convert visitors to sales - so you must embrace that idea and have a passion for effective design rather than just something that looks pretty. It also helps that you love the idea of selling travel.

Skills - Technical
o A MINIMUM of two years managing commercial websites.
o Hand coding of HTML and CSS (using Dreamweaver)
o Photoshop and, ideally, Illustrator
o XML
o PHP 4, including manipulating xml
o Javascript including knowing how to use the DOM
o Experience with blogs, forums, and other social media
o Your coding needs to be both fast and accurate.
o Knowledge of FileMaker an asset

Skills - Project Management
o The ability to plan projects is essential. Often putting up a new site involves a lot of different people - with both technical and non-technical skills. We need you to be able to take charge of a project and see it through to a deadline.
o Knowledge of MS Project an asset

Skills - Personal
