New Book: What would Google do?
My good friend Dmitriy Minenko from Tourism BC just got a new book and he advised everyone in the last SEO meetup to read it. It is called What would Google do? and it is basically an explanation of what Google stands for, where they are going and what kind of values you MUST embrace if you want to succeed with Google as your main generator of business. Fascinating stuff, as always.
Comments
though we can have the content of this book searched in goggle, it would might as well be great to buy this book, we might find some information that’s hard to find on the net.
Posted by Dhamphy on 08/28 at 12:47 PMWhat would Google Do? and What Google Actually Does might be more engaging. The title me thinks looks like a paid advertisement or a resume builder for getting a job at the big box.
Posted by Hunter Stone on 08/29 at 06:14 AMI enjoyed reading the book, but I’m not convinced it really answers the question “why should everyone else try to do things the Google way?”
For example, it has a few passing references to very successful companies who don’t do things ‘the Google way’, but doesn’t make a case as to why people should try to copy Google rather than those other firms and their alternative approaches.
Similarly, take a look at the fastest growing and the most profitable companies on the Fortune 500 list - almost none of them are doing their core business the Google way. (There’s more details on this in my blog post at http://www.markpack.org.uk/is-what-would-google-do-the-right-question/ )
Posted by Mark Pack on 09/02 at 10:47 AMWhat would Google do if it were writing books on business? Probably not write a book like this one. Most business books, like most Saturday Night Live skits, have a nut that’s worth a couple minutes of air at most that are dragged out into an interminable pileup. To be sure, there are some interesting and illuminating ideas that Jarvis presents here, but they don’t merit 200 pages.
Posted by judith on 11/17 at 06:14 AMwell, haven’t read this book yet and I’m not sure if I will after reading those not very appraising comments...still, I’m curious. being interested in literature of the kind I pay much time to reading informative and helpful books on business, used to download them by torrent search engine. thanks for sharing anyway. I’ll think about it.
Posted by Mike Green on 11/20 at 03:32 AMI really need to have a copy of this book “What Would Google Do?” so i will know what to do on how to succeed with them.
Posted by play Cribbage on 12/31 at 07:07 PMThese kind of books remind me of conspiracy theory books. I will be picking this up this weekend though.

I think I ‘ll better read this one, to keep me updated on SEO,Posted by SEO Services UK on 01/08 at 08:14 PMI enjoyed reading the book, but I’m not convinced it really answers all the questions
Posted by kids games on 01/09 at 12:05 AMI read it, loved it, and it brought back memories of chasing ideas and books during the Dot Com Boom like “Cross the Chasm’ and ‘Blown to Bits’. Great ideas that are now, ten years later, seeing some fruition.
Yet I wholeheartedly recommend it, now!
Posted by Ron on 04/04 at 12:36 PMThis is such a great resource that you are providing and you give it away for free. I love seeing websites that understand the value of providing a quality resource for free. It’s the old what goes around comes around routine.
Posted by carnival cruise lines on 04/07 at 11:13 PMIt is a collection of Google fanboy thoughts on how to do business in the internet age, using Google, and other high tech companies, as a model.
Posted by payday loans on 04/10 at 11:58 AMIt is a resource for everybody who are connected with Seo. But it is most amazing thing that such information much people don’t share, you are exception. Thanks for sharing.
Posted by Seo Services on 04/14 at 12:22 AMGoogle is “gigantic” but also the leading example of “small is the new big”. From this interview alone, I can tell you I won’t be reading more disjointed opinion like that.
